SAMBA POLICE ARRESTS 3 THIEVES INCLUDING NOTORIOUS SNATCHER "PAAPU": 74 THIEVES ARRESTED, 39 THEFT CASES SOLVED IN THREE & HALF MONTHS : SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH


Samba, May 2 : Under the professional guidance of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, Police has achieved another success in intensive drive against thieves , arrested  notorious snatcher "Paapu" among three  thieves and solved two theft/ snatching cases. 

     Three arrested snatcher/thieves  have been identified as Manzoor Ahmed nicknamed "Paapu" s/o Bashir Ahmed  r/o Samba, Parshotam Lal nicknamed Shotu s/o Dev Raj r/o Samba and Subash Sharma s/o Tirjogi Sharma r/o Uttar Pradesh A/P Samba. Two  cases : FIR No. 103/2023 u/s 382 IPC and case FIR No. 102/2023 u/s 379 IPC registered through PP SIDCO Samba at Police Station Samba have been solved and further investigation is in progress. Among these two solved cases,  one theft case was registered on the official complaint of J&K Forest Department lodged by Range Officer. Stolen/ snatched items in both the cases have been recovered by Police. 

       Accused were arrested by Incharge PP SIDCO Samba PSI Deepika Jalotra under the supervision of SHO Samba Rajeshwar Singh, DySP Garu Ram Bhardwaj and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.

     Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that total seventy four (74)  thieves have been arrested in three & half months after launching intensive drive against thieves in Samba district and thirty nine ( 39 )  theft cases have been solved by Police.

SAMBA POLICE SOLVED MYSTERIOUS DEATH CASE OF "MANJIT KOUR": ALL MYSTERIOUS DEATH CASES WILL BE SOLVED ON PRIORITY : SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH



Samba, May 1 : Exhibiting high degree of  professionalism, Samba Police has solved the mysterious death case of Manjit Kour, converted inquest proceedings into FIR and arrested the accused husband. 

      Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that inquest proceedings initiated under section 174 CrPC into the mysterious death of 38-year old Manjit Kour of Supwal Samba to ascertain the actual cause of death has been converted into FIR under sections 306 / 498-A IPC , accused has been arrested and further investigation started.

       On 08.03.2020, information was received at PP Supwal regarding suspicious death of Manjit Kour and upon this inquest was initiated, postmortem was got conducted ,viscera was sent to FSL and other legal formalities were completed.  Police has collected medical report, FSL report, & sufficient evidence and concluded that deceased Manjit Kour had committed suicide by hanging due to abetment/physical torture committed by her drunkard husband who had brutally & mercilessly beaten up her just before her death, she had sustained severe head injury and thereafter committed suicide by hanging herself from a tree in the lawns of her home in darkness of night at late evening at 9:00 p.m. Thus, inquest culminated into FIR and accused arrested. 

The arrested accused has been identified as Kulbir Singh s/o Rattan Singh r/o Nai Basti Supwal tehsil Vijaypur district Samba. 

      Inquest proceedings has been brought to logical conclusion by I/C PP Supwal Dr.Divya Bharati under the supervision of SHO Samba Rajeshwar Singh, DySP Garu Ram Bhardwaj and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary. 

    Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that all mysterious death cases in Samba district would be solved on priority and accused involved would be arrested under law.

SAMBA POLICE SEIZES 6 MORE VEHICLES FOR ILLEGAL MINING;* *40 VEHICLES SEIZED FOR ILLEGAL MINING IN THREE MONTHS: SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH



Samba, April 22: On the directions of SSP Samba Benam Tosh and in continuation of drive against illegal mining, Samba Police has seized six (06) more vehicles which were being used for illegal mining in district Samba.

Police teams comprising of SHO police station Ghagwal Bharat Bhushan, SHO police station Samba Rajeshwar Singh, Incharge police post Rajpura Sudhir Singh, under the supervision of Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary have seized six (06) more vehicles being used for illegal mining at different locations in Samba district.

The seized vehicles are: Dumper bearing registration No. JK20B-8976, Dumper bearing registration No. JK08D-9373, Dumper bearing registration No.JK21G-7879 , Tractor Trolley bearing registration No. JK08C-1023, Tractor Trolley bearing registration No. JK21H-7340 and one Tractor Trolley without registration number.

Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh said that total forty (40) vehicles have been seized within three months for illegal mining by Samba police after launching special drive against illegal mining and police would continue checking the wrongdoings of mining mafia till illegal mining is completely stopped in the district.

जिला साम्बा के सुंब ब्लॉक के ढाकी गांव के रहने वाले जतिन को आज सुबह हुए एक भीषण कत्लेआम में उसके अपने ही पिता ने जान से मार डाला।





 बताया जा रहा है कि पूरा परिवार जब सुबह सो रहा था तब आरोपी पिता ने जतिन पर तेजधार हथियार से उसे  मौत के घाट उतार दिया, इसके अलावा आरोपी कुलबीर ने अपनी पत्नी और अपनी बेटी पर भी जानलेवा हमला किया और उन्हें घायल कर दिया। 

आरोपी पिता 

मां और बेटी खासकर मां की हालत बहुत ही गंभीर बताई जा रही है। पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है आरोपी को मानसिक रूप से परेशान बताया जा रहा है।

Samba, April 11 : Under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, police has achieved a major success , arrested six (6)  suppliers of narcotic substances including one woman and  recovered heroin ('chitta') & poppy straw from their possession. A vehicle used for smuggling purpose has also been seized.

 

     


The accused arrested with  heroin ( 'chitta ') have been identified as Rajpal Singh s/o Sandal Singh r/o Pathi tehsil Panchari district Udhampur, Anil Kumar s/o Ramesh Chander r/o Surinsar district Jammu, Imtiyaz Khanday s/o Ghulam Rasool Khanday r/o Sargawari tehsil & district Kishtwar whereas accused arrested with poppy straw have been identified as Saleem Din s/o Ramzan Din r/o  Penthi Samba,  Mumtaz Bibi w/o Saleem Din r/o Penthi Samba and Ashraf Ali s/o Saleem Din r/o Penthi Samba


     


FIRs under relevant sections of NDPS Act have been registered at police station Bari Brahmana and Police Station Samba and further investigation is going on.

      On a specific information, SSP Samba Benam Tosh had constituted a team comprising of DySP DAR Samba Ajay Anand, SHO Samba Rajeshwar Singh, ASI Manzoor Hussain & HC Jasmir Singh under the supervision of Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary and raid was conducted at suspected hideout of narco-bussiness in the presence of Executive Magistrate 1st Class Swaran Singh and three accused including one woman were arrested red-handed , 2.7 k.g poppy straw was recovered from their possesion and huge illegal opium poppy plant cultivation was destroyed on spot. In this regard, a case u/s 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Samba and investigation going on. 

     Another Police team comprising of  SHO Bari Brahmana Sunil Sharma, PSI Rakesh Singh PSI Arif Ahmed under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar conducted surprise raid at suspected place near Sarore , arrested 3 heroin smugglers, recovered heroin ('chitta') worth rupees 40,000.00 ( approx.) from their possession and seized vehicle No. PB06E-0732 used for heroin smuggling purpose. A case u/s 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police station Bari Brahmana and investigation is going on. 

   Senior Superintendent of Police Samba said that Police is steadily heading towards wiping out narco - business completely from Samba district and making all out bids to achieve the target.

Johal distributes relief material among 250 families at Arnia, Samba




SAMBA, April 10: Sarbjit Singh Johal, BJP Kissan Mocha President J&K and DDC member Ramgarh, today organized two relief camps at Arnia and 51 Bn BSF in Kandral Post of Samba district.

The 721st and 722nd trucks of relief material were provided by the Shaheed Parivar Fund C/o Hind Samachar and Punjab Kesari Group which was disbursed by the DDC member among 250 needy families in the areas. The relief comprised Atta, Rice and complete kitchen kits so as to ensure the basic food requirements of the indigent people. 

On the occasion, Varinder Sharma, In-charge Shaheed Parivar, S Iqbal Singh Arneja, Dimple Suri, Sarabdeep Kour, BDC Chairman Drshan Choudhary and Rakesh Paant social workers were present.

Addressing the gathering, Johal said that in the present scenario, philanthropy has become the need of the hour and noble and blessed people have always come forward to extend support to the needy people.

Recalling the philanthropy displayed by the great journalist Lala Jagat Narayan during his lifetime, Johal paid glowing tributes to him and said that his immense contribution in the field of journalism would be remembered for ages to come. He also complimented Padma Shri Vijay Chopra for upholding the philanthropic and charitable legacy to serve the needy people in the society. He also informed about the aim behind holding the distribution camp. He said that the main patron behind providing relief material for the needy people is Padma Shri Vijay Chopra. He said that the Shaheed Parivar Fund management has been sending relief material for the past about 24 years.


The DDC Member Johal asked people of the border village to remain vigilant from the rising drug peddling activities. He sought support of the people of the border village in curbing the menace of drug peddling.

SAMBA POLICE ARRESTED 2 NOTORIOUS BOVINE SMUGGLERS, FOILED ANOTHER BOVINE SMUGGLING ATTEMPT


Samba, April 9: Samba police has arrested two (2) notorious bovine smugglers and foiled yet another illegal bovine smuggling attempt at Mansar, seized the vehicle used for smuggling purpose and rescued bovine animals under the guidance of SSP Samba Benam Tosh.


The arrested accused have turned out to be notorious smugglers of bovines and they have been found involved, arrested and challaned in bovine smuggling cases earlier also. 


The arrested notorious bovine smugglers have been identified as Ajaz Ahmed s/o Sham Din r/o Nanka Chak Samba and Manzoor Ahmed s/o Late Mohd. Maqbool r/o Gangera tehsil and district Udhampur. A case has been registered at Police Station Samba through Police Post Mansar and investigation has been started. 

  


The bovine smuggling attempt was made by smugglers at odd mid night hours around 1:30 a.m. considering that everybody including police might be sleeping but it was not so, police was alert and police party headed by Chowki Officer Mansar Deepak Sharma and ASI Suresh Singh under the supervision of SHO Samba Rajeshwar Singh and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary intercepted the smugglers at Mansar while smuggling bovines to Kashmir valley via Mansar and arrested 2 notorious smugglers and rescued bovine animals they were illegally smuggling out.


It is third illegal bovine smuggling attempt foiled by Samba Police at Mansar within three days and total nine (9) bovine smugglers have been arrested and twenty eight bovines rescued.

In the meeting Displaced persons of 1947, 1965 and 1971 residing in Samba  joined to discuss their long pending issues. They discussed  that the Samba area is mostly occupied by the Displaced persons of 1947, 1965 affected due to Indo-Pak conflict & their issues are not resolved till date. Both the leaders assured the persons that their genuine issues will be solved shortly.

Samba, April 8 : Under the guidance of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, police has recovered six (6) more missing persons including four (4) females and two (2) students from different states and reunited with their families. 


One male student, resident of Purmandal area has been recovered by Samba Police from Jalandhar (Punjab) whereas probing another missing report, a girl student, resident of Ramgarh area has been recovered from Nainital (Uttarakhand). Relatives and public of Purmandal and Ramgarh had approached police to recover the missing students on priority basis and acting swiftly police recovered the students and reunited with their families.


The missing students have been recovered by the police teams comprising of SHO Police Station Samba Rajeshwar Singh, SHO Police Station Ramgarh Sudesh Kumar under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Priyanka Kumari and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary. Missing reports were entered at police station Ramgarh & police station Samba and have been disposed of. 


Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that 28 missing persons including 20 females have been recovered by Samba Police in three months from Kashmir, Ramban, Amritsar (Punjab), Jalandhar (Punjab), Nainital (Uttarakhand), Katra, Saidpur (Punjab), Jammu and from several other places. They have been reunited with their families following proper procedure under law. Police is sensitive and responsive with regard to missing reports and leaving no stone unturned to solve the missing matters.

SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH PRESIDED OVER POLICE- PUBLIC MEET AT BORDER VILLAGE GLAR





Samba, April 8 : Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh today presided over police-public meet at border village Glar situated in Samba sector which was attended by hundreds of people including ladies, retired officers of Army, Revenue, Education Department, prominent citizens and common public. SSP was accompanied by Joint Director Prosecution Pawan Khajuria, Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, DySP DAR Ajay Anand, SHO police station Samba Rajeshwar Singh and Incharge Police Post Rakh Amb Tali Vineet Singh.


Those who spoke on the occasion on behalf of the public were Col.(Retd.) Som Dutt, Headmaster (Retd.) Sat Paul Sharma, Naib Tehsildar (Retd.) Jagdish Raj Sharma, ex-panch Ms. Raj Kumari, ex-servicemen League convener Surjit Singh (Bittu Fouji), District President Kissan Morcha Mohinder Paul and Garu Ram.      


Speaking on the occasion, SSP Samba Benam Tosh said that police would organize sports events,  cultural activities and anti drug awareness competitions in border villages with a view to orient youth towards constructive activities rather than indulging in drug addiction. He further said that police is conducting inquest proceedings with sincerity and dedication u/s 174 CrPC into the suspicious death of a person whose dead body was found alongside the road passing through the crop fields few days ago. Medical report and FSL report are awaited, he told. He directed the officers to maintain updated records of all immigrants & emigrants and take necessary action under law against those who fail to provide information to concerned Police Station / PP regarding tenants putting up at their homes. He said that he remains in direct touch with lower subordinates breaking all proper channels as far as matters pertaining to investigations are concerned so that no lacuna is left in the investigation of any case. SSP appreciated the role of police in Samba district vis-a-vis public dealings and reiterated that Police public meets would be continued across the district to bring police at the doorsteps of masses. 


Earlier in the day, SSP, Joint Director Prosecution, Addl. SP, DySP, SHO and IC PP concerned visited the site where dead body of a person belonging to village Glar was found under suspicious circumstances few days ago. SSP along with other officers also visited the house of deceased and expressed deep condolences.

SAMBA POLICE FOILED ILLEGAL BOVINE SMUGGLING ATTEMPT , ARRESTED 5 BOVINE SMUGGLERS, RESCUED 17 BOVINES


Samba , April 7 : Police has achieved yet another success in drive against smugglers under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, foiled another illegal bovine smuggling attempt at Mansar, arrested five (5) bovine smugglers and rescued 17 bovines.

   The bovine smuggling attempt was made by smugglers at odd mid night hours around 1:00 a.m. considering that  everybody including police might be sleeping but it was not so, police was alert and police party headed by Chowki Officer Mansar Deepak Sharma and HC Mohinder Singh under the supervision of SHO Samba Rajeshwar Singh, DySP Garu Ram & Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary intercepted the smugglers at Bindu Pada Mansar while smuggling bovines to Kashmir valley via Mansar and arrested all the five smugglers and rescued all seventeen bovine animals they were illegally smuggling out .

    The arrested bovine smugglers have been identified as Gulzar Ahmed s/o Abdul Hamid r/o Khatnari, Kokarnag, Anantnag, Wajid Hussain s/o Mohd.Gogar r/o Samba, Mohd. Younis s/o Abdul Hameed r/o Khatana Keharpora Anantnag, Arf r/o Samba and Anis r/o Kachwan, Anantnag. A case has been registered at Police Station Samba through Police Post Mansar and investigation has been started. 

It is second illegal bovine smuggling attempt foiled by Samba Police at Mansar since yesterday and total seven bovine smugglers have been arrested and twenty four bovines rescued within just twenty-four hours.

   Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh has issued directions to all officers that no innocent person should be  harassed  while taking  stern action under law  against notorious smugglers / criminals who adopt different modus-operandi to escape themselves from  clutches of law.

Avinash Choudhary, Chairman of Border Welfare Organisation, JK, raised public interest issues in the police public meeting



Samba: Police public meeting was organized at DPO Samba by Inspector General of Police Jammu Division Mukesh Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Police JKS Range Shakti Pathak, Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, Additional Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Surinder Choudhary. Also DC Samba Anuradha Gupta, DDC Chairman Keshav Sharma, Border Welfare Organisation, JK, Chairman Avinash Choudhary and other dignitaries were present.

Social worker and Chairman Border Welfare Organisation, JK, Avinash Choudhary presented various aspects in front of the senior officers of the police administration and appreciated the works being done for public welfare by police. On the other hand, Choudhary said that in many ways the police is doing a good job, but sometimes there is a negative attitude of the police with the public, after which people lose faith in the police, but our district Samba's ASP Surinder Choudhary's enthusiastic work approach and due to his contribution, drugs have been banned from the district to a great extent, there has been a decrease in crime, which is commendable. On the other hand, after the Senior Superintendent of Police Benam Tosh took charge in district Samba, the public is witnessing restoration of faith in the police. The duo, SSP and ASP Samba is doing excellent work in curbing all kinds of smuggling. Avinash Choudhary said that where the police is doing a good job they should also be praised. He said that the police is  to run and maintain the law and order smoothly and to protect the general public, but many times such cases are seen where people have lost faith in the police, there is a need to work on it with a more positive attitude. Avinash Choudhary said that the Border Welfare Organisation has always stood with the police for the betterment of the public and will continue to stand.

SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH DIRECTS POLICE OFFICERS TO TAKE STRINGENT LEGAL ACTION AGAINST NARCO-SUPPLIERS

Samba, April 01 : Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh held narco-crime review meeting today and directed Police Officers to take stringent legal action against narco-suppliers operative in Samba district.

 


The directions regarding stringent legal action against narco-suppliers were issued by SSP Samba while conducting narco-crime review meeting chaired by him at district police office (DPO) Samba, which was attended by Addl. SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, SDPO Vijaypur Priyanka Kumari, SDPO Bari- Brahmana Rahul Nagar, DySP Hqrs Mohd Usman, DySP Oprs Garu Ram, SrPO Gurpreet Kour, DySP DAR Ajay Anand, all SHOs & I/C PPs of District Samba. 



SSP Samba has further directed all the supervisory officers, SDPOs and SHOs to immediately arrest all the accused booked under NDPS Act and bring all NDPS investigations to logical conclusion without inordinate delay. SSP further directed the Supervisory Officers & SHOs to open history sheets & personal files under relevant rules in respect of notorious narco-suppliers/smugglers, to prepare dossiers against top smugglers/suppliers of Heroin (‘chitta’) and to discretely collect information regarding illegal assets accumulated by the narco-suppliers by means of illicit narco-bussiness for further appropriate action under law.


This was the  exclusive narco-crime review meeting chaired by the Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh and during the meeting, all under investigation NDPS cases registered at all the police stations of district Samba were discussed in detail and appropriate directions in each case were issued to the Supervisory Officer, SHOs, IC PPs and IOs.

Samba, April 1 : Under the professional guidance of  Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Beman Tosh, Police has arrested two ( 02) thieves, solved theft case and recovered stolen items worth thirty thousand rupees (approximately).

The arrested thieves have been identified as Himat Sumbria  s/o Ramesh Kumar r/o Jallochak Purmandal Morh, Tehsil Bari-Brahmana, District Samba and Pragya Badyal s/o Ganesh Dutt r/o New Plot District Jammu. 

A case FIR No. 71/2023 u/s 379 IPC registered at Police Station Bari-Brahmana, District Samba has been solved by police and further investigation is going on.

The arrests were made by a police team comprising of SHO Bari-Brahmana Sunil Sharma, PSI Abrar Ahmed & SI Dharampal under the supervision of SDPO Bari-Brahmana Rahul Nagar & Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.


Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that total fifty eight ( 58) thieves have been arrested and thirty (30) theft cases have been solved by Samba Police  in two & half months after the launch of intensive drive against thieves.
