SAMBA POLICE APPREHENDED 10  VAGRANTS NEAR ‘CHITTA’ HOTSPOT 


“Police giving final blow to deadly 'chitta' menace” : SSP Samba Benam Tosh


Samba, May 2 : Police, under the guidance of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, has apprehended ten  (10 ) vagrants  under preventive sections of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana , as they were found wandering near known 'chitta' hotspot .

The apprehended vagrants have been identified as Umar Rashid s/o Abdul Rashid r/o  Chadora, Budgam, Ishfaq Ahmed s/o Mohd Abdullah r/o Srinagar, Kansh Dogra s/o Balkrishan Dogra r/o Peer Mitha  Jammu, Shiva s/o Pawan Kumar r/o Peer Mitha Jammu, Daljeet Singh s/o Harbans Singh r/o Preet Nagar Jammu, Rahul Kumar s/o Tarsem Lal r/o Kujwani Jammu, Darshan Kumar s/o Girdhari Lal r/o Prem Nagar Jammu, Sameer Ahmed s/o Gul Mohd r/o Shopian Srinagar, Rakesh Kumar s/o Krishan Lal  r/o  Narwal Jammu and Bharat Bushan s/o Charan Dass r/o Narwal, Jammu. All the ten vagrants were apprehended from Balole Khad, Bari Brahmana and further legal action is in progress.

The arrests have been made by police team comprising of SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana Sunil Sharma &  Incharge District NDPS team Inspr. Sumit Sharma under the supervision of DySP Garu Ram Bhardwaj and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.  

Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that Police is giving final blow to the deadly 'chitta' menace  in Samba district and therefore, people should cooperate with police as much as possible till ugly malaise is completely eradicated .

Samba, May 2 : Under the professional guidance of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, Police has achieved another success in intensive drive against thieves , arrested  notorious snatcher "Paapu" among three  thieves and solved two theft/ snatching cases. 

     Three arrested snatcher/thieves  have been identified as Manzoor Ahmed nicknamed "Paapu" s/o Bashir Ahmed  r/o Samba, Parshotam Lal nicknamed Shotu s/o Dev Raj r/o Samba and Subash Sharma s/o Tirjogi Sharma r/o Uttar Pradesh A/P Samba. Two  cases : FIR No. 103/2023 u/s 382 IPC and case FIR No. 102/2023 u/s 379 IPC registered through PP SIDCO Samba at Police Station Samba have been solved and further investigation is in progress. Among these two solved cases,  one theft case was registered on the official complaint of J&K Forest Department lodged by Range Officer. Stolen/ snatched items in both the cases have been recovered by Police. 

       Accused were arrested by Incharge PP SIDCO Samba PSI Deepika Jalotra under the supervision of SHO Samba Rajeshwar Singh, DySP Garu Ram Bhardwaj and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.

     Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that total seventy four (74)  thieves have been arrested in three & half months after launching intensive drive against thieves in Samba district and thirty nine ( 39 )  theft cases have been solved by Police.

Samba, April 22: On the directions of SSP Samba Benam Tosh and in continuation of drive against illegal mining, Samba Police has seized six (06) more vehicles which were being used for illegal mining in district Samba.

Police teams comprising of SHO police station Ghagwal Bharat Bhushan, SHO police station Samba Rajeshwar Singh, Incharge police post Rajpura Sudhir Singh, under the supervision of Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary have seized six (06) more vehicles being used for illegal mining at different locations in Samba district.

The seized vehicles are: Dumper bearing registration No. JK20B-8976, Dumper bearing registration No. JK08D-9373, Dumper bearing registration No.JK21G-7879 , Tractor Trolley bearing registration No. JK08C-1023, Tractor Trolley bearing registration No. JK21H-7340 and one Tractor Trolley without registration number.

Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh said that total forty (40) vehicles have been seized within three months for illegal mining by Samba police after launching special drive against illegal mining and police would continue checking the wrongdoings of mining mafia till illegal mining is completely stopped in the district.

Big Breaking: जिला सांबा के सुंब ब्लॉक में हुआ भीषण कत्लेआम: पिता ने अपने ही जवान बेटे को उतारा मौत के घाट


जिला साम्बा के सुंब ब्लॉक के ढाकी गांव के रहने वाले जतिन को आज सुबह हुए एक भीषण कत्लेआम में उसके अपने ही पिता ने जान से मार डाला।





 बताया जा रहा है कि पूरा परिवार जब सुबह सो रहा था तब आरोपी पिता ने जतिन पर तेजधार हथियार से उसे  मौत के घाट उतार दिया, इसके अलावा आरोपी कुलबीर ने अपनी पत्नी और अपनी बेटी पर भी जानलेवा हमला किया और उन्हें घायल कर दिया। 

आरोपी पिता 

मां और बेटी खासकर मां की हालत बहुत ही गंभीर बताई जा रही है। पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है आरोपी को मानसिक रूप से परेशान बताया जा रहा है।

Samba, April 8 : Under the guidance of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, police has recovered six (6) more missing persons including four (4) females and two (2) students from different states and reunited with their families. 


One male student, resident of Purmandal area has been recovered by Samba Police from Jalandhar (Punjab) whereas probing another missing report, a girl student, resident of Ramgarh area has been recovered from Nainital (Uttarakhand). Relatives and public of Purmandal and Ramgarh had approached police to recover the missing students on priority basis and acting swiftly police recovered the students and reunited with their families.


The missing students have been recovered by the police teams comprising of SHO Police Station Samba Rajeshwar Singh, SHO Police Station Ramgarh Sudesh Kumar under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Priyanka Kumari and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary. Missing reports were entered at police station Ramgarh & police station Samba and have been disposed of. 


Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that 28 missing persons including 20 females have been recovered by Samba Police in three months from Kashmir, Ramban, Amritsar (Punjab), Jalandhar (Punjab), Nainital (Uttarakhand), Katra, Saidpur (Punjab), Jammu and from several other places. They have been reunited with their families following proper procedure under law. Police is sensitive and responsive with regard to missing reports and leaving no stone unturned to solve the missing matters.

SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH PRESIDED OVER POLICE- PUBLIC MEET AT BORDER VILLAGE GLAR





Samba, April 8 : Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh today presided over police-public meet at border village Glar situated in Samba sector which was attended by hundreds of people including ladies, retired officers of Army, Revenue, Education Department, prominent citizens and common public. SSP was accompanied by Joint Director Prosecution Pawan Khajuria, Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, DySP DAR Ajay Anand, SHO police station Samba Rajeshwar Singh and Incharge Police Post Rakh Amb Tali Vineet Singh.


Those who spoke on the occasion on behalf of the public were Col.(Retd.) Som Dutt, Headmaster (Retd.) Sat Paul Sharma, Naib Tehsildar (Retd.) Jagdish Raj Sharma, ex-panch Ms. Raj Kumari, ex-servicemen League convener Surjit Singh (Bittu Fouji), District President Kissan Morcha Mohinder Paul and Garu Ram.      


Speaking on the occasion, SSP Samba Benam Tosh said that police would organize sports events,  cultural activities and anti drug awareness competitions in border villages with a view to orient youth towards constructive activities rather than indulging in drug addiction. He further said that police is conducting inquest proceedings with sincerity and dedication u/s 174 CrPC into the suspicious death of a person whose dead body was found alongside the road passing through the crop fields few days ago. Medical report and FSL report are awaited, he told. He directed the officers to maintain updated records of all immigrants & emigrants and take necessary action under law against those who fail to provide information to concerned Police Station / PP regarding tenants putting up at their homes. He said that he remains in direct touch with lower subordinates breaking all proper channels as far as matters pertaining to investigations are concerned so that no lacuna is left in the investigation of any case. SSP appreciated the role of police in Samba district vis-a-vis public dealings and reiterated that Police public meets would be continued across the district to bring police at the doorsteps of masses. 


Earlier in the day, SSP, Joint Director Prosecution, Addl. SP, DySP, SHO and IC PP concerned visited the site where dead body of a person belonging to village Glar was found under suspicious circumstances few days ago. SSP along with other officers also visited the house of deceased and expressed deep condolences.

*58 THIEVES ARRESTED, 30 THEFT CASES SOLVED IN TWO & HALF MONTHS : SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH*


Samba, April 1 : Under the professional guidance of  Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Beman Tosh, Police has arrested two ( 02) thieves, solved theft case and recovered stolen items worth thirty thousand rupees (approximately).

The arrested thieves have been identified as Himat Sumbria  s/o Ramesh Kumar r/o Jallochak Purmandal Morh, Tehsil Bari-Brahmana, District Samba and Pragya Badyal s/o Ganesh Dutt r/o New Plot District Jammu. 

A case FIR No. 71/2023 u/s 379 IPC registered at Police Station Bari-Brahmana, District Samba has been solved by police and further investigation is going on.

The arrests were made by a police team comprising of SHO Bari-Brahmana Sunil Sharma, PSI Abrar Ahmed & SI Dharampal under the supervision of SDPO Bari-Brahmana Rahul Nagar & Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.


Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that total fifty eight ( 58) thieves have been arrested and thirty (30) theft cases have been solved by Samba Police  in two & half months after the launch of intensive drive against thieves.

गैंगस्टर जितेंद्र सिंह उर्फ शालू और अनिल सिंह उर्फ बिल्ला पुलिस की हिरासत में


 प्राप्त समाचारों में यह पता चला है कि गैंगस्टर जितेंद्र सिंह उर्फ शालू और अनिल सिंह उर्फ बिल्ला दोनों को जम्मू कश्मीर पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। प्राप्त समाचारों के अनुसार मीरा साहब पुलिस ने विजयपुर पुलिस के साथ मिलकर गैंगस्टर जितेंद्र सिंह और अनिल सिंह को गुड़ा सलाथिया में उनके घर से गिरफ्तार किया। दोनों काफी समय से फरार फरार चल रहे थे। जुर्म की दुनिया में  गैंगस्टर जितेंद्र सिंह उर्फ शालू और अनिल सिंह उर्फ बिल्ला दोनों एक बहुत बड़ा नाम है इन पर बहुत सी हत्याओं, हत्या करने का प्रयास रंगदारी लेने के इल्जाम भी हैं। अभी जिस केस में पुलिस ने उनको गिरफ्तार किया है वह इनके अपने ही पुरानी जुर्म की दुनिया के साथी रंजीत सिंह उर्फ लुका जो कि पूर्व सरपंच है उनके साथ इनका किसी बात को लेकर विवाद चल रहा था। इस विवाद को चलते रंजीत सिंह पर उसके ऑफिस में तीन चार बदमाशों ने जनवरी महीने में उनके गांव पृथ्वीपुर जो कि मीरा साहिब में है वहां उनके ऑफिस में हमला किया था और और गोलियां चलाई थी। पुलिस की जानकारी के मुताबिक जो हथियार मुहैया करवाए गए थे वह जितेंद्र सिंह और अनिल सिंह ने करवाए थे। हालांकि सरपंच तो इस मामले में बाल-बाल बच गए परंतु पुलिस ने इन दोनों को पकड़ने के मुहिम छेड़ दी। यह दोनों घटना के बाद हिमाचल फरार हो गए थे। लेकिन बुधवार को जैसे ही पुलिस को यह पता चला कि यह गुड़ा सलाथिया में अपने घर में आए हैं तो पुलिस ने उनको देर रात रेड करके गिरफ्तार कर लिया। सूत्रों के मुताबिक यह भी पता चला है कि इनकी इंटेरोगेशन में और हथियारों के मिलने की संभावना है जिसके लिए टीमें भेजी जा चुकी हैं। दोनों को इस वक्त मीरा साहिब स्टेशन में रखा गया है।

सांबा: फोटोग्राफर की दुकान के ताले तोड़कर लाखों रुपये का सामान उड़ा ले गए चोर


सांबा शहर में सांबा चौक में चोरों के गिरोह ने बीती रात ओम वीडियो विजन नामक फोटोग्राफर की दुकान के ताले तोड़कर लाखों रुपये का सामान की चोरी कर ली। चोर फोटोग्राफर की दुकान में फोटो बनाने के काम आने वाले उपकरण और कैमरे बगैरा भी उठा कर चलते बने। इसी के साथ वह दुकान में रखी हुई 30000 की नकदी भी अपने साथ ले गए। पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और आगे की तफ्तीश जारी है।

15.28 Gms of heroin recovered by Jammu Police. Two accused drug peddlers arrested


Jammu: Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse several nakas were established at different locations by Jammu Police. One such naka led by *SHO P/S Miran Sahib Inspr. Sultan Mirza* at Balol bridge whereby they rounded up a suspect who tried to fled on being signalled to stop for checking who was later identified as Sahil Kumar S/o Tarsem Lal R/o Nandpur Miran Sahib who was driving a vehicle bearing Registration No HP39 E 3426. On search, 10 Gms of heroin and two weighing machines were recovered from him.                 Similarly another such naka laid by police team of  P/S Pacca Danga led by SHO P/S Pacca Danga Inspr. Ajit Singh whereby a suspect namely Parshant Sharma S/O Lt.Joginder Sharma R/O Dewaan Mandir Kachhi Chawni Jammu was rounded up as he turned to be suspicious on seeing police party. On search, 5.28 Gms of heroin along with polythene pouches was recovered from him.

On this Cases FIR No. 48/2021 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act and 89/2021 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act  got registered at P/S Miran Sahib and P/S Pacca Danga respectively and the accused got arrested. The overall arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sh.Shabir Khan and SDPO North Sh.Sharad Kalu.

Further investigation of the case is going on.

Two notorious bike lifters arrested by Police Station Janipur Jammu: 07 bikes, 15 iron plates recovered


Jammu: An information was received at P/S Janipur that by one person Bhawani Singh S/o Tilak Raj R/o Chennai Rajouri A/P Durga Nagar Bantlab that his Pulsar bike bearing Registration No. JK11B 7239 which was parked outside medical shop near Aap Shambhu Morh, Janipur, was stolen by some unknown thieves.

On this, a case FIR No. 51/2021 U/s 379 IPC got registered at P/S Janipur and investigation started. On this dedicated police teams of P/S Janipur under the supervision of SDPO City West Sh. Rahul Nagar were constituted. The team led by SHO P/S Janipur Inspr. Inayat Ali assisted by PSI Anil Kumar after strenuous efforts and with the help of technical assistance rounded up suspects namely 1.) Umar Mir S/O Ghulam Hassan R/O Puldoda Doda A/P  Old Masjid Road Laxmi Puram Chinore Jammu 2.) Ankush Harkar S/O Anil Harkar R/O Durga Nagar, Bantalab. During sustained questioning, accused confessed their involvement in the above case and on their disclosure 15 iron plates and stolen bikes were recovered from them. Further investigation of the case is going on to ascertain their involvement in any other crime.

15 litres of illicit liquor recovered by Police station Bishnah, Jammu. One Bootlegger arrested


Jammu: In an act of alertness and prompt action, police party of P/S Bishnah led by SHO P/S Bishnah Inspr. Joginder Chib while patrolling duty rounded up a suspect namely Manohar Lal S/O Lal Chand R/O Vill. Khairi Teh. Bishnah Distt. Jammu 

 During search, 15 litres of illicit liquor was recovered from his possession. Also many utensils were recovered and 100 ltrs approx lahan was destroyed on spot.

On this, case FIR No. 76/2021 U/S 48(e) Excise Act, 188 IPC got registered at P/S Bishnah and the accused got arrested. 

Further investigation of the case is going on.

Police Party of Police Station Kana Chak led by PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal laid a naka at Kangrail, while naka checking duty, at about 1500 hrs, intercepted one vehicle TATA-207 bearing registration no. JK02CR/7445, driven by Narinder Singh @ Kaka S/O  Bharat Singh R/O Mishriwala which was coming from Nagrota side towards Mishriwala via ring road and during the checking of the vehicle recovered 05 Challies containing 70 gms charas from his possession. In this regard a case FIR No. 57/2021 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered in police station Kahnachak under Guidance of Sho Kahnachak Vishwa partap singh and under the supervision of Sdpo Domana Kosheen Koul* and SP rural Sanjay Sharma

Theft case solved by Gharota Police: Two thieves alongwith property worth lakhs recovered


AKHNOOR : Gharota police achieved a major success today when it solved a blind theft case and arrested thieves besides recovering the stolen property.

On 12/4/2021, a complaint was lodged by Mayawati W/o Gyani Ram R/o MP A/P Kot that when she was not at home, in the evening some unknown thieves entered her house and stole some jewellery items of gold and silver besides cash amounting Rs 10000. On this case FIR no .25/21 u/s  454/380 IPC Registered at PS Gharota and investigation started. Special teams were constituted under *SHO Gharota Khayati Maan Khajuria* assisted by *PSI Anil Kumar.* During the course investigation, many suspects were rounded up and finally two persons namely Shabir Ahmed S/o Soudagar Hussain  and Bahadur Ali S/o Sher Ali R/o Keran Bantalab confessed of their involvement in the said crime and on their disclosure stolen items viz one silver Kamar Bati 750 Gms, 6 silver Rings, 5 Golden lockets and cash Rs 6500 was recovered.   The duo were drug addicts and had carried out the theft to arrange money for drugs.

Police appealed to public to share information if anyone in their vicinity or relation is a drug addict so that necessary care & counseling can be provided and he can be stopped from committing any crime.

भगथली में नाका चेकिंग ड्यूटी के दौरान पुलिस स्टेशन कठुआ की एक टीम ने एक संदिग्ध व्यक्ति को देखा, जिसे चेकिंग के लिए रोका गया था। शारीरिक खोज लगभग 05 ग्राम हेरोइन जैसे कंट्राबेंड बरामद किया गया।
