15 litres of illicit liquor recovered by Police station Bishnah, Jammu. One Bootlegger arrested


Jammu: In an act of alertness and prompt action, police party of P/S Bishnah led by SHO P/S Bishnah Inspr. Joginder Chib while patrolling duty rounded up a suspect namely Manohar Lal S/O Lal Chand R/O Vill. Khairi Teh. Bishnah Distt. Jammu 

 During search, 15 litres of illicit liquor was recovered from his possession. Also many utensils were recovered and 100 ltrs approx lahan was destroyed on spot.

On this, case FIR No. 76/2021 U/S 48(e) Excise Act, 188 IPC got registered at P/S Bishnah and the accused got arrested. 

Further investigation of the case is going on.

Theft case solved by Gharota Police: Two thieves alongwith property worth lakhs recovered


AKHNOOR : Gharota police achieved a major success today when it solved a blind theft case and arrested thieves besides recovering the stolen property.

On 12/4/2021, a complaint was lodged by Mayawati W/o Gyani Ram R/o MP A/P Kot that when she was not at home, in the evening some unknown thieves entered her house and stole some jewellery items of gold and silver besides cash amounting Rs 10000. On this case FIR no .25/21 u/s  454/380 IPC Registered at PS Gharota and investigation started. Special teams were constituted under *SHO Gharota Khayati Maan Khajuria* assisted by *PSI Anil Kumar.* During the course investigation, many suspects were rounded up and finally two persons namely Shabir Ahmed S/o Soudagar Hussain  and Bahadur Ali S/o Sher Ali R/o Keran Bantalab confessed of their involvement in the said crime and on their disclosure stolen items viz one silver Kamar Bati 750 Gms, 6 silver Rings, 5 Golden lockets and cash Rs 6500 was recovered.   The duo were drug addicts and had carried out the theft to arrange money for drugs.

Police appealed to public to share information if anyone in their vicinity or relation is a drug addict so that necessary care & counseling can be provided and he can be stopped from committing any crime.

11 different vehicles involved in illegal mining seized by Police station Satwari Jammu


Jammu: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, massive action has been taken by police teams of P/S Satwari which were constituted under the supervision of SDPO South Sh. P K Mengi. The team led by SHO P/S Satwari Inspr. Nishant Gupta assisted by I/C PP Chatha, I/C PP Gadigarh and I/C PP Phallain Mandal laid special nakas at various points. During checking 11 different vehicles were seized which were involved in illegal mining. The vehicles seized included 2 Tippers and 9 tractor trollies.

The mining was done in violation of order of Hon'ble High Court of J&k. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
