Kupwara Police arrested  one Notorious Drug Peddler. 02 Kgs of Heroin recovered. 

Udhampur police arrested one drug peddler along with 25 kg of poppy Straw at Rakhani Chowk, Udhampur

Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, Police Party of Police Station Udhampur  apprehended one drug peddler and seized 25 kg  of poppy straw.

Police Team of PS Udhampur led by Insp. Chanchal Singh SHO PS Udhampur under the supervision of Sh. Sahil Mahajan DySP Hqrs. Udhampur laid a naka at Jakhani chowk, NHW, for checking.

During Naka checking, police party stopped one truck bearing registration number PB06AS 5023 which was subjected to thorough search. During search of said vehicle, 25 kg of poppy  straw like substance was recovered.

 The narcotic smuggler namely Rajinder Singh S/O Balwant Singh R/O Kapoorthala, Punjab was arrested on spot and poppy straw was recovered. The involved vehicle was also seized.

In this connection, Case FIR NO. 134/2021 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act at PS Udhampur and further investigation is underway.

Continuing its drive against drugs in Udhampur town, Police Party of Police post Roundomail apprehended one drug peddler and seized 101 kg  of poppy straw.

Police Team of PP Roundomail led by Insp. Chanchal Singh SHO PS Udhampur and assisted by SI Kaku Ram IC PP Roundomail under the supervision of Sh. Sahil Mahajan DySP Hqrs. Udhampur laid a naka at Roundomail naka point for checking. During naka checking, police party stopped one truck bearing registration number JK02AC/0797 which was subjected to thorough search.

During search of said vehicle, 101 kg of poppy  straw like substance was recovered. The narcotic smuggler namely Aqib Ahmed Guroo S/O Shabir Ahmed Guroo R/O Budgam Srinagar was arrested on spot. The involved vehicle was also seized.

In this connection, A Case FIR NO. 132/2021 U/S 8/15 NDPS Acts stand registered  at PS Udhampur and further investigation is underway.

Domana Police Jammu recovered 156 Psychotropic Substance, injections. 03 persons arrested

A police party led by PSI Nitish Khajuria while on patrolling duty in Anand Nagar area under the jurisdiction of PS Domana apprehended three persons namely Abhilash Koul S/o Ashok Kumar Koul R/o Hazuri bagh Talab tillo Bohri, Kunal Manhas S/o Chamail Singh R/o Tali Morh New Plot Jammu and Akshay Sharma S/o Rishi Sharma R/o Lower Muthi Jammu.  During checking 12 Rexogesic Injections- Buprenorphine Hydrochloride, 12 Diazelab Injections- Diazepam and 12 Phenergan injections-Promethazine Hydrochloride were recovered from Akshay Sharma.  20 Rexogesic Injections- Buprenorphine Hydrochloride, 20 Diazelab Injections- Diazepam and 20 Phenergan injections-Promethazine Hydrochloride were recovered from Abhilash Koul while 20 Rexogesic Injections- Buprenorphine Hydrochloride, 20 Diazelab Injections- Diazepam and 20 Phenergan injections-Promethazine Hydrochloride were recovered from Kunal Manhas. Some used syringes and injections were also recovered from the possesion of Kunal manhas. All the three persons have been arrested and a case FIR No 104/2021 U/s 08/21/22/29 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Domana and further investigation is taken up under the guidance of  SHO Domana  Insp. Mahesh Sharma. The arrest and recovery took place under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen koul and SP Rural Sh. Sanjay Sharma. The locals of the area are appreciating the efforts of Jammu Police  in their continous and relentless efforts in curbing the Drugs Menace which is effecting the locals especially the youth. Jammu Police extends the help and support  to civil society in developing effective inputs regarding the people who are involved in the trade and supply of Narcotic substance.

Udhampur police arrested one narcotic smuggler and recovered 50gms of Heroin along with 25000 cash

Continuing its drive against drugs in Udhampur town, Udhampur Police once again acted tough under the supervision of Sargun Shukla, IPS SSP Udhampur and  apprehended one more person and recovered 50 grams of contraband substance Heroin (Chitta) at Udhampur. 

Police patrolling  party of PS Udhampur led by Insp. Chanchal Singh SHO PS Udhampur under the supervision of Sh. Sahil Mahajan DySP Hqrs. Udhampur, while patrolling at Debreh Morh Krimchi, apprehended one suspected person who was roaming in a manner raising suspicion.

During his search, 50 grms  of Heroin (Chitta), 01 weighing machine alongwith cash worth Rs 25,000/- was recovered from his possession. On enquiry he disclosed his identity as Mohd. Haneef S/O Abdul Rashid R/O Chak Rakwalan Udhampur* who was arrested on spot.

In this connection, a case FIR No. 131/2021 U/S 8/21/22/27-A NDPS Act stands registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is underway.

Interstate Drug Smuggling Racket busted; Contraband recovered by Anti Drug Unit Kathua

Kathua, 01 Mar: District Police in its recent action against illegal drug dealings busted an interstate drug smuggling racket in which two non locals hailing from Bihar state were arrested along with conduit hailing from Samba and recovered 07Kilograms of Ganja like contraband substance in the JD of Police Station kathua and three accused were arrested along with the seized contraband on spot. 

A joint team of Anti Drug Unit kathua and PS Kathua during naka checking at Railway Station Kathua apprehended 03 persons who tried to escape by concealing themselves along with the contravand viz 1)Dharamjeet Kumar S/O Sakal Day R/o Rampur P/s Raghavpur District Vishali,Bihar 2)Pachu Ray S/o Jhanka Ray R/o Rampur District Vishali,Bihar 3)Rajinder Kumar S/o Sewa Ram R/o Ward no. Bari Brahmana District, Samba.But found suspicious, they were nabbed by the team and were frisked.

On physical search,respective police team was able to recover 07 kilograms of Ganja like contraband substance from their possession illegally.

Consequently, all the accused were arrested who were involved in commission of aforesaid crime and recovered contraband was also seized by the police party.

On this,a case FIR No. 99/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered in concerned Police Station and further investigation is under process.More arrests in this case cannot be ruled out.
