Four percent DA increased for four and a half lakh government employees of the state, pensioners will also get it from January

 Dearness Allowance (DA) has been increased by four per cent for government employees, pensioners and family pensioners of Jammu and Kashmir.  With this, along with pensioners, four and a half lakh government employees of the state will get financial benefits.  The existing basic pension/basic family pension and dearness allowance was getting 38 per cent on basic pay, which has now been increased to 42 per cent.The arrears of dearness allowance from January will be paid in cash in the salary of May and will be given as an additional instalment.
