Kathua : Indian Public School Kidzee Kathua organised Hindi Story Telling Competition here for teachers under the aegis of Jammu Sahodaya School Complex in which teachers of 22 schools of Jammu province associated with CBSE participated and hundreds of students and renowned academicians , noted writers , famous poets,environmentalists, officers witnessed the interesting storytelling competition .
SSP Benam Tosh, Commandant IRP 19th Battalion Kathua was the Chief Guest whereas Ms.Surinder Jeet Kaur- KAS Tehsildar Kathua graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Dr. Chandradeep Mannu Sharma, poet and laurate HOD Hindi AB College Pathankot and Dr. Chaman Singh Thakur Principal Surya college of Education who is renowned writer environmentalist , Mrs.Charu Andotra Principal MLZ School graced the occasion as Special Guests.
Ms Manu Kumari teacher won the first prize, whereas second and third prizes were won by Ms Balwinder Kour tr. and Ms Pooja Sabharwal respectively. Ms Shyama Slathia , Ms Anubhuti Sharma and Ms Jyoti Jamwal bagged consolation prizes .
Ms.Barinder Jot Kaur, Principal IPS ,Kidzee delivered the welcome note on the occasion which was followed by Saraswati Vandana ,group songs and group dance presented by the students.
SSP Benam Tosh while applauding the role of teachers said that teachers condition , groom and shape the students & society and perform role as nation builders . Benam Tosh termed the teachers as " Kalam ke Yoddha " ( Warriors of Pen) and hoped that they would always strive for inculcating ethics and values like honesty , credibility and patriotism in students they teach . SSP Benam Tosh further said that supposed to be highly civilized 21st century is on but different kinds of crime against women including domestic violence is still being committed which needs to be eradicated with strong legal action. He informed that women Police Stations are being strengthened across J&K with a view to control crime against women and two more women Battalion have been raised to increase the strength of women cops in J&K and day is not far away when accused of crime against women would find place behind bars only.
