Samba, April 13 : Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh accompanied by Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, DySP DAR Ajay Anand, DySP Garu Ram and SHO Vijaypur Tribhawan Khajuria attended 'Thana Diwas' at police station Vijaypur and listened to and redressed the grievances of the people.
A large number of people including President Beopar Mandal Vijaypur Surinder Gupta, Vice President Beopar Mandal Vijaypur Jugal Mahajan, Ex-Chairman Municipal Committee Vijaypur Deepak Kumar, President Youth Club Vijaypur Ansh Gupta, social activists Sudagar Gupta, Babbal Gupta, Bharat Bhushan, Udham Singh, Ajay Sharma and Raghubir Singh aired their reports and general grievances of the people at the properly organised Thana Diwas which were directed to be redressed immediately.
Speaking at the Thana Diwas, SSP Samba Benam Tosh said that since there is rule of law in India, it is primary duty of every citizen of India to respect law & cooperate with police personnel who implement law on ground irrespective of their ranks. He reiterated that police is committed to arrest and put behind bars all those involved in narco-business to completely eradicate drug menace from Samba society and towards that end, won’t hesitate to go to any extent and take stringent action under law against any element howsoever powerful or well-connected he may be. Moreover, police will also take action under in juvenile delinquency matters as involvement of juveniles/ minors, both male juveniles and female juveniles has surfaced in ‘chitta’ peddling, thefts and snatching in samba district, he added. Benam Tosh assured the people that police attitude with respect to complainants at the police stations, police posts as also at all other offices would be commensurate with 21st century educated behavior and due respect, honour and dignity of the individual would be ensured at all police institutions in the district.
