KATRA: In yet another initiative to provide succour to the devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi, Sarabjit Singh Johal, President Ch Chhotu Ram Jat Sabha, J&K and DDC Member Ramgarh on Tuesday inaugurated a state of art Public Convenience facility at village Nomian, Katra in Reasi District.
Addressing the gathering, SS Johal said that accomplishing the cause of providing all the modern facilities to the community members and the visiting devotees of Maa Vaishno Devi was his ultimate objective and until this mission is fulfilled he will continue to work without wasting even a jiffy. “Opening of this public utility edifice is also one of initiatives in bringing the much needed respite to the devotees who used to suffer a lot in the absence of any such facility in the vicinity”, Johal added.
He emphasized that making judicious use of such edifice is the key to improve vicinity as often it is seen that people urinate and even defecate in open making surroundings filthy and unhygienic. He stressed upon the people to utilize the services in a manner that these will cater to their needs for a longer duration. “Misusing and damaging the public property is ultimately the loss of the people”, he asserted.
Johal informed that Ch Chhotu Ram Jat Sabha is constructing a Dharamshalla at Katra with an estimated cost of Rs 25 crore for the pilgrims of holy cave shrine of Maa Vaishno Devi.
Dr M.S Malik, former DGP Haryana and Chairman of the Sabha, in his message, said that about 50 rooms and two banquet halls will be ready and dedicated to people by the end of 2022.
BDO Manoj Kumar Raina, General Secretary of the Sabha’s J&K unit, Shiv Choudhary, Sarpanch Santosh Kumari, Daljeet Singh and Dalvinder Singh were also present.
