In its endeavours and commitment to contain the activities of Bovine smuggling in the district, under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. RC Kotwal -JKPS district police today foiled Bovine smuggling attempt in the jurisdictional area of PS Rajbagh, rescued 05 Bovines and seized the vehicle involved.
On 03.06.2021 police team of P/S Rajbagh led by Insp. Bhupinder Singh SHO P/S Rajbagh under the supervision of SDPO Border Sh. Sachit Mahajan -JKPS during routine naka checking duty at Chainpura noticed one suspicious mahindra vehicle bearing Reg. No. JK02CM-2362 being driven by unknown person who was signalled to stop for checking. On seeing Naka Party, driver of the said vehicle parked the vehicle far behind the naka point and managed to fled away. During checking of aforesaid vehicle, 05 Bovines were found loaded in it illegally. Meanwhile vehicle was seized and all bovines were rescued on spot. By taking this cognizance case FIR No. 87/2021 U/S 188/IPC, 11PCA Act has been registered in Police Station Rajbagh and further investigation has been set into motion accordingly.
