For the smooth conduct of T2 exams, the Proposal of DSEJ reads: With the reopening of the schools and subsequent resumption of regular class work, the exercise for examination/assessment of Term T-2 from class 1st to 9th is to be started. As such to make the process hassle free and as per the guidelines/SOPs of covid-19 and keeping in view possibic learning losses, the following guidelines/mechanism for conduct of assessment/examination form class Ist to 9th fur session 2020-21 are hereby issued as per approval conveyed by the Administrative Department vide communication No, Edu/NC- SE/11/2021 dated 02.03.2021.
In case of class 1 to 7, instead of conventional examination child friendly assessment shall be conducted at school level for current academic session from 3d week of March 2021 ensuring that the assessment is child friendly and the uniform models of assessment tools are used by all schools while retaining the flexibility of mode of conduct as well as actual questionnaire to be used. A committee of officers headed by Joint Director, School Education DSEJ is hereby constituted to supervise the smooth conduct of school based assessment.
In case of Class 8th to 9th, it will be normal examination with 65% syllabus. The aforesaid committee will also monitor the examination of class 8th and 9th besides providing advice and guidance to the school heads under the overall supervision of Joint Director, School Education in the Directorate. The concerned Chief Education Officers shall render all logistic support wherever required..
Under the supervision of the above committee headed by the Joint Director, the concerned DIETS shall guide the schools in conducting school based assessment and monitor whole exercise through their faculty and other field functionaries including cluster heads and ZEOs as well. The concerned school shall setup the test papers as per the scheme and the evaluation shall be done at school level. The tabulations of result from class Ist to 7th shall be done at school level and same shall be countersigned by cluster heads.
