Northern Command chief reached Poonch, strategy made to eliminate terrorists involved in the attack

 Northern Command chief Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi visited the spot after the Poonch terror attack.  He went into detail about all the information related to the terrorist attack.  The officials told them about the actions taken since April 20 till now.

The Court Martial (GCM) of the Air Force has ordered the dismissal of Group Captain Suman Rai Chowdhary


 The Court Martial (GCM) of the Air Force has ordered the dismissal of Group Captain Suman Rai Chowdhary.  The helicopter crashed after being hit by a missile on 27 February 2019 at Budgam in the Kashmir Valley.  This decision has come in this case.  Suman Rai was then serving as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Srinagar Air Force Station.

“HAR KAM DESH KE NAAM”: SOUTH WESTERN COMMAND INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2023: BATHINDA MILITARY STATION


 

“HAR KAM DESH KE NAAM”

Jaipur, Wednesday, 08 February 2023

Army’s South Western Command Investiture Ceremony was held with customary elan and military grandeur at the Sagat Singh Auditorium, Bathinda Military Station on Wednesday. A total of seventeen Sena Medals (Gallantry), one Sena Medal (Distinguished) and one Vishisht Seva Medal were presented by Lieutenant General Amardeep Singh Bhinder, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Command.

The investiture ceremony is conducted once a year to confer various awards to personnel who have distinguished themselves by acts of individual gallantry and exceptional devotion to duty. The awardees included nine officers, one Junior Commissioned Officer and Nine other ranks. One gallantry award was presented posthumously to the father of Sepoy Laxman of 61 Rasthriya Rifles Battalion.  The Army Commander also conferred five units with the ‘Chief of Army Staff Certificate of Appreciation’ and ‘General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Unit Appreciation’ to fifteen units for their exemplary performance.

The Army commander congratulated all awardees for their gallantry and distinguished services. He also urged all ranks, ex-servicemen and their families to rededicate themselves in service of the Nation.

The Army Commander later interacted with the award winners, their families and acknowledged their invaluable contribution in upholding the highest traditions of the Indian Army and the Nation. 

MULTI ACTIVITY DISPLAY SOUTH WESTERN COMMAND INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2023







As part of the South Western Command Investiture Ceremony a Multi Activity Display was organised at Bathinda Military Station for the awardees, serving personnel, families and students to showcase rich military traditions, adventure as part of normal military life and martial music arousing patriotic fervour. The display was conducted in the presence of Lieutenant General Amardeep Singh Bhinder, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Command, Lt Gen Sanjiv Rai, GOC, Chetak Corps, all serving personnel and families of the station.

The event demonstrated the “Unity in Diversity” of our great nation with gallant Marathas showcasing Malkhamb, Veer Madrasis showcasing Kalaripayattu, continuity drill and Khukhri dance by the brave Gorkha Soldiers. The Hot Air Balloon and Para Motor Display did add the third dimension acts and showcased natural risk taking  propensity of the army soldiers as a way of life. The audience were also kept spellbound by the human and dog interaction demonstrating basic obedience and special training skills.

The motorcycle riders display by the team from “Crops of Signals” popularly known as DARE DEVILS made the audience sit on the edge of the seats whereas Mass Military Band mesmerised one and all with martial music tunes.

South Western Command prepares to Honour the Hereos


07 February 23: In the run up to the South Western Command Investiture Ceremony on 08 February 23 preparations are in full swing to honour the Gallantry and Distinguished Service award winners for their exemplary service to the Indian Army and the Nation.

The annual Investiture Ceremony is conducted to confer awards to personnel of the Armed Forces who have distinguished themselves by acts of individual gallantry and exceptional devotion to duty. It is also to recognise the bravery, dedication and sacrifice of the armed forces and their families.

The Awards ceremony is scheduled on 08 February at Bathinda Military Station and during the event. Lieutenant General Amardeep Singh Bhinder, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Command will present Gallantry and Distinguished Service Awards, along with COAS Certificate of Appreciation and GOC-in-C Unit Appreciations for exemplary performances. Nine officers, one Junior Commissioned Officer and nine soldiers are being awarded this year in recognition of their exemplary courage and devotion to duty. One gallantry award will also be presented posthumously to the Next of Kin of Sepoy Laxman of 61 Rashtriya Rifles. Five units are being awarded with the COAS Certificate of Appreciation and 15 units will receive the GOC-in-C Unit Appreciation.

As a prelude to the main event an enthralling Multi Activity Display showcasing military traditions, patriotism and skills of the soldiers is being organised on 07 February for the Armed Forces personnel and their families.

स्वर्णिम विजय मशाल पंहुची लखनपुर


 स्वर्णिम विजय मशाल आज लखनपुर कठुआ के पास पहुंच गई। जिसमें बड़ी संख्या में सेना के जवान जय हिंद के नारे लगाते हुए इसको लेकर जा रहे थे। इसको यहां से बसहोली के सैनिक शिविर में लेकर जाया जाएगा।
