Jammu and Kashmir: A massive fire broke out in a hotel in Pahalgam; Dehradun resident tourist killed, another missing



 An elderly tourist from Dehradun died while another woman is missing after a hotel in Pahalgam area of ​​south Kashmir's Anantnag district was gutted in flames.  Four hotel employees also suffered burn injuries in the accident.  Meanwhile, many tourists were evacuated from the hotel safely. A fire broke out in a hotel in Pahalgam under suspicious circumstances on Monday.  The fire department and the police were immediately informed after the fire broke out.  The fire brigade personnel who reached the spot controlled the fire after a lot of effort.  During this, the dead body of Bhupinder Gill (75) of Dehradun was recovered from the hotel. While extinguishing the fire, the hotel personnel Seer Anantnag resident Mehran Parry (25), Katsu Bijbihara resident Yasir Ahmed (24), Pahalgam resident Naveed Ahmed Lone (20) and  Tariq Ahmad Bhat (27), a resident of Laripora Pahalgam, sustained burn injuries.

 They were rushed to a nearby hospital, where three employees were discharged after first aid, while one is undergoing treatment.  Police has registered the case and started investigation.  At present, the cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained.
