Continuing its drive against the menace of drugs, District Police Samba under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Dr. Abhishek Mahajan, IPS has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of P/ S Vijaypur and recovered approximately 100 gms of Heroin (Chitta) from his possession.
During patrolling in the area, a naka was established by Addl. SP Samba, Sh. Surinder Choudhary assisted by SDPO Vijaypur Ms. Priyanka Kumari and SHO PS Vijaypur Inspr. Tribhuvan Khajuria at Vijaypur Chowk and during naka intercepted one person found under suspicious circumstances. During frisking of the said person, about 100 gms of Heroin (Chitta) recovered from his possession.
The accused person identified as Mohd Ali @ Mandhu S/o Kaau R/o Ladwal, Rajbagh A/P Marheen, Kathua has been arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized.
In this regard a case FIR No. 04/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Vijaypur and investigation started.
