Grand Ceremony organised to commemorate the Swarnim Vijay Varsh

SAMBA: A grand ceremony was organised at APS Samba to commemorate the Swarnim Vijay Varsh. Amongst much fanfare and euphoria the Victory  flame was received by Major General Rajesh Moghe, General Officer Commanding, Gurj Division, Chief Guest on the ocassion, with full military decorum and honour. The event started with the exquisite  display of mililtary band. Theme based cultural programs by the students of APS , Samba were the main highlights of the day in which  student from even class 1 participated. Later Mrs Shireen Moghe Zonal President Army Wives Welfare Association felicitated war veterans and veer naris for their valour and sacrifice in 1971 war. In the end Major General Moghe  expressed sincere thanks to the the citizens of Samba, who indeed have contributed immensely to the Armed Forces. He said that Samba has been the land of warriors and specially mentioned the contribution of two Veer Chakra awardees of Samba district ,Hav Raghbir Singh and Capt Bahadur. Singh. Total 06 Veer Naris & 88 war veterans were felicitated.  

Free medical camp was also organised  wherein  doctors did health check up and provided medicines to the veterans.

वीर चक्र रघुबीर सिंह संब्याल, केहली मंडल सांबा में भारतीय सेना द्वारा स्वर्ण जयंती समारोह मनाया गया।

वीर चक्र रघुबीर सिंह संब्याल (खालरा ब्रिज 1971 की लड़ाई के दौरान शहीद हो गए) को केहली मंडल सांबा में भारतीय सेना द्वारा स्वर्ण जयंती समारोह के भाग के रूप में 1971 की लड़ाई के दौरान पाकिस्तान की जीत के रूप में मनाया गया। भारतीय सेना की स्वर्णिम मशाल आज उनके घर में पहुंची ।
