Sharp eye from ground to sky, preparation for air service at night .. Home Minister knows security arrangements


 Union Home Minister Amit Shah has given instructions to maintain tight security arrangements from ground to sky during the Amarnath Yatra which is going to start from next month.  Simultaneously, for the convenience of the passengers, asked to provide air service from Srinagar and Jammu at night also.  Shah on Friday held a high-level meeting to review in detail the security preparations being made for the two-month-long yatra.  Shah said during the meeting that it is the priority of the Modi government that Amarnath yatris should have easy darshan and they should not face any problem. He instructed to make elaborate security arrangements on the yatra route.  In fact, such intelligence reports have been received that terrorist groups operating from Pakistan may try to disrupt the yatra.  Shah also asked to maintain all smooth arrangements on the route from airport-railway station to the yatra base camp.  Home Minister Shah also directed to ensure adequate stock of oxygen cylinders and their refilling and to provide additional teams of doctors. Adequate medical beds and deployment of ambulances and helicopters to deal with any medical emergency.  also said  Along with this, instructions were given to make adequate arrangements for all the necessary facilities including transportation, stay, electricity, water, communication and health for Amarnath Yatris.  He said that the yatra route has better communication and also directed to deploy machines to open the route immediately in case of landslide. The yatra for the holy Amarnath cave is starting from July 1, which will end after 62 days on August 31.  The meeting was attended by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Army's Northern Command Chief Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Deka and other top officials and officials associated with the visit.
