Samba, June 2 : Under the overall supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, Police has achieved another major success in its vigorous drive against criminals in Samba District and arrested hardcore criminal “Ranju” who has been involved in several criminal cases of heinous nature.
The arrested hardcore criminal has been identified as Ranju Choudhary alias Ranju s/o Late Kuldeep Singh r/o Kathar Kothey tehsil Arnia district Jammu.
"Ranju" is a hardcore criminal involved in several cases of attempts to murder, extortion, drug peddling, criminal intimidation and Arms Act registered against him in different police stations in the past including case FIR No. 11/2020 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act registered at P/S Ramgarh, case FIR No. 19/2022 U/S 307/353/382/34 IPC 4/25 Arms Act P/S Ramgarh, case FIR No. 50/2020 u/s 341/323/506/34 IPC P/S Arnia & case FIR No. 12/2023 u/s 4/25 Arms Act P/S Arnia.
Recently, Ranju along with other criminals attempted to murder one shopkeeper by stabbing in the back in Ramgarh. A case FIR No.29/2023 u/s 307/451/323/504/34 IPC stands registered in Police Station Ramgarh, main accused Ranju has been arrested and investigation is underway.
The arrest of Ranju has been made by police team comprising of SHO Police Station Ramgarh Sudesh Kumar & PSI Vikrant Kotwal under the supervision of Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh said that police is playing proactive role in Samba district and achieving success one after the other in apprehending hardcore criminals and smugglers and taking stringent action under law against them.
