Preparations for Shri Amarnath Yatra have intensified. Repair and other construction works are going on at Base Camp Bhagwati Nagar Jammu. There are plans to install four X-ray scanning machines in the security room set up at the main gate of the base camp. For this, the room is being expanded. Instructions have been given to complete all the preparations related to the yatra by June 15. Tile work is being done on the walls in the langar hall of the base camp. Apart from this, fresh work is being done to stop the leakage of water on the roofs of the main halls. Security personnel have also started reaching the base camp. In this, monitoring of suspicious activities in the surrounding area has been increased. Langar organizations will start reaching Kashmir from the gateway Lakhanpur in the last week of June, while on the traditional Baltal and Pahalgam track, the Shrine Board has asked organizations to reach by June 15.
