Death of ITBP officer on duty for Amarnath Yatra, cardiac arrest or lack of oxygen could be the reason


 An officer of the Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITB) on Amarnath Yatra duty died at Sonamarg in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district.  The police gave this information on Thursday.  A police officer said that 58-year-old ASI Madan Raj had fainted near Baltal base camp for Amarnath Yatra on Wednesday night. The official said that ASI Madan Raj is a native of Uttarakhand.  He was immediately taken to the hospital when he fainted while on duty.  But he died during treatment.  However, the cause of his death is yet to be ascertained.  At the same time, it is also feared that he may have died due to cardiac arrest or due to lack of oxygen at high altitude. Many such cases come to the fore during Amarnath Yatra in which death is either due to cardiac arrest or  Then people die due to low oxygen concentration at high altitude.  It is one of the most common causes of death among all Amarnath pilgrims and the security forces on duty there.  According to the information, the Amarnath Yatra is going to start in just a few days.  The 62-day yatra is scheduled to begin on July 1.
