Samba, May 10 : Continuing intensive drive against wrongdoers on the directions of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, Police have apprehended four (04) gamblers involved in playing Matka Satta gambling red-handed and recovered pens, notebook, paper sheets & cash of rupees 1890.00 from their possession.
Acting on specific tip off regarding gambling, Police team comprising of SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana Sunil Sharma, Incharge District Special Branch Inspr Sumit Sharma and SI Nanak Chand under the supervision of Deputy SP Garu Ram Bhardwaj and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary raided the gambling spot at Teli Basti Bari Brahmana and apprehended 04 gamblers playing matka satta gambling alongwith pens, notebook, paper sheets & cash of rupees 1890.00.
The apprehended gamblers have been identified as Sarvan Kumar s/o Bhoj Ram r/o Chhattisgarh A/P Teli Basti Bari Brahmana, Rajesh Sharma s/o Jugal Kushore r/o Teli Basti Bari Brahmana, Mohd Hamid s/o Khursheed Mohd r/o Teli basti Bari Brahmana and Pinky Gogel s/o Nand Lal r/o Chhattisgarh A/P Teli Basti Bari Brahmana Samba. Legal action under section 13 of Gambling Act has been taken by police against the said gamblers.
