Today on 12.05.2023, PTTI Vijaypur organized a T-20 Cricket Match between PTTI Vijaypur XI and MV International School-XI (Vijaypur) Cricket teams under the supervision of Shri Shiv Kumar Sharma, JKPS, SSP, Principal, Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur.
The objective behind this T-20 Cricket match, is to promote sports activities, inculcate sense of team spirit and sportsmanship among the youth and staff members. The T-20 Cricket match was played between PTTI Vijaypur -XI and MV International School Vijaypur-XI Cricket teams in PTTI Ground. At first, Shri Kuldeep Raj, Dy. SP (Indoor/Tech) PTTI Vijaypur tossed the coin which was won by SI Kapil Raina, Captain PTTI-XI, who decided to bowl first. Team MV International School-XI (Vijaypur) batting first set the target of 187 runs for the opponent team.
While chasing PTTI Vijaypur-XI Cricket team lostsome quick wickets,but 8th wicket partnership of more than 70 runs between Inspr. Javed Hussain and Sg.Ct. Vishal helped PTTI Vijaypur-IX to chase down the target in 18th over after the loss of 9 wickets. Mr. Pankaj, Captain MV International School- XI was adjudged man of match for his enthralling inning of 91 runs. Post matchacolourful presentation ceremony was held and winning team was felicitated with trophy and runner-up team with Participation Certificates. SI Shakeel Singh and SgCt. Mehboob Ali werethe match Umpire.
While speaking on the occasion, Principal PTTI Vijaypur congratulated the winning team and highlighted the importance of sports in the overall development of an individual. He further added that the objective of organizing cricket match was to get the cricket players of the area to come forward, expose their potential and move forward towards their cricketing career. Principal also thanked all the players and organising Committee members.
Among others, Shri Zia Ul Haq, Dy. SP (Admn/Outdoor) PTTI Vijaypur, Inspr. Surrinder Paul, Inspr. Tariq Mehmood, Inspr. Ram Lal, Inspr. Kanwal Raina, Inspr. Pawan Anand, Inspr. Mulkh Raj were present on the occasion.
