Jammu: Viral infection increased due to change in weather, fluctuating mercury affects health

Fluctuations in the weather are continuing in Jammu from the month of March this year.  In the midst of the scorching heat of the body in May, there is a feeling of relief from the torrential rains.  The minimum temperature in Jammu has dropped by 9 degrees from normal for the last two days.  This is affecting the health. People are suffering from viral infections like cough, cold and fever due to sudden rise and fall in temperature.  On the other hand, most of the crops have been harvested in the plains, but harvesting is still being done in some parts of the mountains, due to which hailstorm and rain are causing damage to the prepared crops. Sudden change in weather is affecting health.  According to Dr. Praveen Yograj, Medical Superintendent of Gandhinagar Hospital, due to change in weather in March this year itself, most of the people have got ready for such weather, but still viral infection is troubling people.  In this, people of all age groups have been affected.
