Jammu. In the summer season, the process of school holidays has started. Often people go on holidays with their families to hill areas or relatives' houses and leave their homes deserted. Such houses become easy prey for thieves. As soon as they get a chance, thieves loot people's hard-earned money from their deserted houses.
If we look at the statistics of the police department for the last few years, it becomes clear that the maximum number of theft cases are registered in the months of June and July of the year. Even for the police, these two months are no less than a big challenge. However, the police increase night patrolling in these months so that the thieves fear the police.
Chandan Kohli, Senior Superintendent of Police, District Jammu, says that the carelessness of the people during the holidays becomes heavy for them. If you are going for a trip, drop any of your relatives at your home. Never post holiday photos on internet media. Many times, by looking at the photo, people come to know that the whole family has gone out somewhere and the thieves carry out the crime from behind.
