A Punjab court has summoned Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in a ₹100-crore defamation case filed over alleged "defamatory remarks" against Bajrang Dal during the recently-concluded Karnataka polls. Congress, in its poll manifesto, promised to ban organisations like the Bajrang Dal, calling them 'anti-national'. Hindu Suraksha Parishad Founder Hitesh Bhardwaj filed the case against Kharge.
