Samba, April 29 : Under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, Police has nabbed seven (7) vagrants who were found wandering about near ‘chitta’ hotspot under preventive sections of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana.
The nabbed vagrants have been identified as Rajeev Singh s/o Gurmeet Singh r/o Raipur Sawaria Bishnah, Vashu Sharma s/o Raj Kumar r/o Bishnah Jammu, Sahil Massi s/o Rafiq Massi r/o Bishnah Jammu, Vikram Singh s/o Uttam Chand r/o Talab Tillo Jammu, Krishan Lal s/o Subash Chander r/o Talab Tillo Jammu, Sagar Dogra s/o Garu Ram r/o Bakshi Nagar tehsil Purkhu district Jammu and Pritam Singh s/o Uttam Singh r/o Janipur, Jammu. All the seven vagrants were apprehended from Balole Khad, Bari Brahmana and further legal action is in progress.
The arrests have been made by police team comprising of SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana Sunil Sharma, Incharge District NDPS team Inspr. Sumit Sharma and SI Chaman Lal under the supervision of Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that police patrolling has been intensified around suspected hotspots of ‘chitta’ in Samba district and therefore parents, guardians, teachers and elders of the society are requested to ask senior students and youth to avoid wandering about near known ‘chitta’ hotspots.
