RAMGARH, NOV 17: Sarabjit Singh Johal, member of District Development Council (DDC) Ramgarh today kick started the development work of a 122-feet-long waiting shed at the cremation ground in village Chak Salaria in Block Ramgarh of district Samba in presence of prominent persons and locals of the area.
The development work will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs. 7 lakhs. Naib Sarpanch Sunil Choudhary, Mandal President Shiv Kumar Choudhary, Bishan Dass, Sahil Choudhary and S Harvinder Singh accompanied the DDC member.
In his address on the occasion, Sarabjit Singh Johal said that there was a dire need for a waiting shed at the cremation ground in Village Chak Salaria and it had been pending for a long time. He said that with the commencement of the aforesaid work a long pending demand of the people of this village has been fulfilled today. On completion of this work the people visiting the cremation ground for cremation can stay comfortably under the built shed especially during extreme weather conditions.
The DDC member expressed his profound gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP government for continuously providing funds for the developmental works at Panchayat level, due to which works are going on unhindered in the Panchayats at a rapid pace. He said that steps are being taken continuously for the development of rural areas under the Modi led Government at the Centre which is making the requisite funds available for the Panchayats. He assured the people that more funds would be provided for the developmental works in the Panchayat areas with multiple works in the pipeline to be taken in the coming days.
Later Sarabjit Singh Johal also interacted with the people and youth of the area who conveyed to him their problems and issues. They demanded installation of open gym in their village. After giving them a patient hearing, he assured to take up the issues with the concerned authorities and get the same addressed at the earliest. He further assured that an open gym will be established in their village in the general interest of people as well as youth of the area.
