SSP BENAM TOSH CONDUCTED DARBAR AT THE GATEWAY OF J&K, GAVE A BRIEFING ON AMARNATH YATRA DUTIES




Kathua: SSP Benam Tosh Commandant IRP 19th Bn held a darbar at Lakhanpur, the gateway of Jammu & Kashmir and gave a briefing on Amarnath yatra duties to the officers and officials who are specially deployed for smooth conduct of this world famous event.

Benam Tosh also interacted with the sister agencies including CISF, Traffic & distt Police who are to perform duties in connection with Amarnath yatra at Lakhanpur and along national highway. He also interacted with 'Langar " committee members who were on way to Waltal to install 'langars' there for Amarnath pilgrims.

At Lakhanpur darbar, Benam Tosh exhorted the officials to perform Amarnath yatra duties in tandem with various agencies, to show dedication throughout the period and exhibit professional manners while dealing with Amarnath pilgrims at the gateway of Jammu and Kashmir. "Amarnath pilgrims come from different corners of the country & the world with devotion to perform holy pilgrimage as also to visit attractive tourist sites and should be welcomed in educated way to promote tourism and cultural exchanges in J&K. Jammu-Kashmir Police officials, wheresoever deployed for Amarnath yatra duties, should behave with sincerity, sensitivity and responsibility while coming across the Amarnath pilgrims, besides discharging main duties of dealing with law & order problems and militancy Benam Tosh said while speaking at the darbar in which all officers and officials deployed for Amarnath yatra duties were present.
