SSP BENAM TOSH ADMINISTERS "PLEDGE" TO THE OFFICERS AND JAWANS:IRP-19TH BN KATHUA ORGANIZES SEMINAR ON "NATIONAL VOTERS' DAY":


Kathua: On "National Voters Day-2022", an impressive seminar was organized by IRP-19th Bn at battalion headquarters Kathua to create awareness regarding significance of democratic electoral participation and to infuse the spirit of exercising right to vote and participate in democratic process without any fear or influence. On the occasion, SSP Benam Tosh Commandant administered Voters' Pledge to the officers and Jawans who attended the function strictly following Covid appropriate behavior.

Speakers who threw light on the subject included: Miss.Asha Dhanwal, Miss.Superiya Andotra Miss.Shabnam Devi, Mr.Sunil Kumar, Mr.Ajay Kumar,Mr.Manjeet Singh & Mr.Anmol Khajuria. Top First, Second and third positions were bagged by Miss Superiya Andotra, Mr.Sunil Kumar & Miss Asha Dhanwal respectively. All the speakers were honoured with cash Rewards, Trophies and Commendation Certificates on the spot. Speaking on the occasion, SSP Benam Tosh said that India is the largest democracy of the world and having abiding faith in democracy today pledge has been taken to uphold democracy and the traditions of our country, and the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections and to vote in every election fearlessly and without being influenced by considerations of religion, race, caste, community, language or any inducement.

Benam Tosh further said that as far as elections in J&K are concerned, J&K Police has been providing conducive and secure atmosphere for free and fair elections in peaceful manner by preventing violence and terrorism related incidents in the past and the same is expected from J&K Police in future elections as well .The Commandant exhorted the officers and Jawans to maintain neutrality in police functioning under all circumstances and avoid attitude of favoritism or prejudice with respect to any political party. The Police officials should maintain credibility of very high degree during elections, he added.
