KOTLI COLONY WELFARE TRUST Chairman Sh Chandan Datta met Hon'ble LG Manoj Sinha and ducussed various Social issues. He apprised LG about the divineness of PRACHEEN SHAIRAV TEMPLE at Bhairav Bazar Bhairav chowk PANJTHIRTHI Jammu and said every year on MAHAKAAL BHAIRAV ASHTAMI this day is celebrated with Great fervour and Gaiety. A lot of devotees from UT and other state came visited this divine temple and seek blessings of Lord Bhairav Dev. Also there are 52 baridars annual congregation has been organised This is our humble submission to UT administration that consider this historic temple under TOURISM and cultural scheme of UT Govt and spread its dvineness. Whom so ever may visit MAA VASHNO DEVI on this pious month may visit this temple under Tourism Promotion scheme and seek Lord Bhairav dev blessings.
KCWT Chairman Er. Chandan Datta also highlighted serious prevailing issue of drug menace infront of Hon'ble LG Sh Manoj Sinha. He discussed in detail the proactive measures to reduce drug menace cases in J&K. KCWT while submitted a detail memorandum of demand to establish full fledged drug addiction centre in lammu region and also apprise that more than 2 lac of youth of Jammu region age between 17-35 yrs are involved in this drug abuse and there is high need to take a detailed survey and report of actual number and pattern of drug abuse in J&K as such data will help and guide Govt to take specific measures to reduce this menace to a greater extent and also helps to know where rise of drug cases is on higher side and accordingly specific drug rehabilitation centre is being created.
Dutta apprised Hon'ble LG Manoj Sinha about the plight and long pending suffering of 1947 POJK Refugee and displaced families of 1965 and 1971 & to provide them reservation in jobs and quota in colleges and Universities across India. He also thanked Hon'ble PM for his Great decision to provide a one time financial assistance to displaced families for which first installment 5.5 lac has been provided and there are still many families left for which we demand to cover remaining families and clear their file cases pending at DIVCOM office Jammu and PRO Jamma.
Being working tirelessly to uplift CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY across UT we came across various problems of this community for which we appeal to LG administration to constitute a separate CHRISTIAN WELFARE BOARD in the pattern of AQUAF and Gujjar board which is their right as they are the people who put their lives on danger during COVID and take care of whole ammu City and UT while working as a COVID front line warrior. Aho they have a serious problem of Graveyard in Jammu. The Christian community in Jammu resides in 12 locations and around 20000 families for which they have only one graveyard so it's humble appeal to LG to take out detail survey of their population and allot them a land for Graveyard so that CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY may give warm send off to their departed soul. The other Prominents present were Mahant Ramil Sharma, Jaim, Harsh Sharma Ashu Peter Sunny Khokhar and Sudesh Sharma.
