IRP 19TH BN KATHUA OBSERVED NATIONAL UNITY DAY SSP BENAM TOSH TOOK SALUTE AT MARCH PAST, ADMINISTERED PLEDGE





Kathua: "National Unity Day-2021" was observed by IRP-19th Bn with impressive march past and solemn pledge at Battalion Headquarters Kathua where Commandant SSP Benam Tosh took the salute and administered pledge of unity, integrity and internal security to the officers and Jawans.


Gazetted Officers including SP Santokh Raj, Deputy SP Kuldeep Raj Tripathi, Deputy SP Deepak Tufchi, Non-Gazetted Officers and lower subordinates belonging to all companies of the Battalion participated in the grand function and took solemn pledge. "Rashtriya Dhwaj Toli"(National Flag Party) was exclusively comprising of women officials who displayed the National Flag while the pledge was being taken solemnly at the well organized ceremonial Parade. Parade Commander Prem Krishan gave word of command and conducted spectacular march past immediately after the pledge taking ceremony ended.


Towards the end of the grand function, SSP Benam Tosh highlighted the significance of the pledge taken and said that officials have solemnly pledged to dedicate themselves to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also pledged to strive hard to spread this message among fellow countrymen. Officials also solemnly resolved to make their own contribution to ensure internal security of the country. This pledge was taken by the officials in the spirit of unification of our country which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Benam Tosh added.


National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is observed annually to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who played crucial role in the integration of princely sates into the Union of India. The objective is to create awareness about the great contribution of Sardar Patel to national integration and to further spread the message of unity, integrity and internal security of the country.
