Jammu Oct 2: In order to observe Gandhi Jayanti as well as Swach Bharat initiative, Jammu and Kashmir police in Jammu district held events in police institutions across the district and took Swachta pledge.
At District Police Lines Jammu, Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu Sh. Chandan Kohli, IPS flanked by SP North Mohita Sharma, IPS, SP South Deepak Digra and Dy.SP DAR K D Bhagat led the event wherein police personnel of all the ranks were present.
Participants took pledge to play their role in cleanliness and to devote 100 hours for hygiene and cleanliness around the year.
SSP Jammu, on this occasion emphasised upon the participants to play their role in personal as well as community hygiene.
Similar events to take pledge were taken in all the police institutions across the district that include Sub Divisional Police Offices, Police Stations and Police Posts.
