LG Manoj Sinha today reviewed functioning of Jal Shakti Department: Jammu Tawi barrage to be ready in one year, Tawi River Front w'll open new avenues of tourism.

LG Manoj Sinha today reviewed functioning of Jal Shakti Department. Decision was taken to ready Jammu Tawi barrage in one year & to change the face of Tawi River Front so that new avenues of tourism open up . He said, "Jal Jeevan Mission is the top priority of Government & all Hospitals, Anganwadi Centres, Schools across UT to be connected with water supply by 15th August."

He directed the officials to Work on war-footing to achieve the ambitious goal of 100% tap water in J&K by August, 2022. He stressed on the involvement of all stakeholders in planning process of WSS to create a sense of belongingness amongst them. he directed the officials to lay robust mechanism for making new water connections services available online to facilitate the public. 

he further siad all DCs are to be actively involved in the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission.
