Continuing JKP's War On Drugs offensive to contain the spread of narcotic drugs & psychotropic substances, Udhampur police recovered 58 grams of Charas like substance from one narcotic smuggler near the local Church, Udhampur.
A Police party of PS Udhampur led by Insp. Chaman Gorkha SHO PS Udhampur under the supervision of Sh. Anwaar ul Haq Addl. SP Udhampur and DySP Hqrs. Udhampur was patrolling near Church Udhampur when they apprehended one suspected person who was roaming in a manner creating suspicious and was trying to escape on seeing police party. However the police party caught him and during his search 58 grams of charas like substance was recovered from his possesion.
The accused was identified as Karnail Singh S/O Gian Chand R/O Chirdi, Chenani.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 198/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is underway.
