China's first bullet train in Tibet opened today. It is close to Indian Borders and provides China a strategic importance. It will cover the distance between Lhasa to Nyingchi in 3.5 hrs. It is 435 km in length, 90% of which at above 3000 m altitude. Construction of this was started in 2014.
