Chamber of Commerce & Industry requested Chief Secretary to review COVID SOPs/ Guidelines. It's president in its representation to the chief secretary Arun Kumar Mehta said as due to covid pandemic the Businessman are the worst affected people from the last 19 months and as the case of activity is declining sharply so so it would be appropriate to to review the Vividh SOPs /Guidelines.So it is submitted that while formulating the new guidelines for next week, the concerns of shopkeepers must be kept in mind. We suggest that the time duration for opening of all business should be increased from existing 7AM-5PM to 7AM -7PM and grouping of shops on basis of essential and non essential category should be done away forthwith.
Moreover, a sustainable resilient and durable package should be announced for the business sector to help it to revive and recover from the impact of covid era.
He said that Chief Secretary shall consider his suggestions with a practical approach and on a positive note.
