District Administration Udhampur today expressed condolence over the tragic and untimely demise of JKAS Officer Er Sajad Bashir Somberia posted as District Social Welfare Officer Udhampur who passed away due to cardiac arrest here yesterday morning, here at condolence meeting.
The meeting was presided over by District Development Commissioner, Dr Piyush Singla and attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohd Syed Khan, Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan, PO IWMP, Sapna Kotwal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Viqar Giri, Assistant Commissioner Development, Mushtaq Chowdhary, and other senior officers of different departments besides staff members of District Administration who expressed deep sorrow at the untimely death of District Social Welfare Officer Udhampur.
The DDC expressed deep shock and grief on sudden demise of Er Sajad Bashir Somberia and expressed heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul. He recalled the commendable services rendered by him as District Social Welfare Officer/District Information Officer, in Udhampur District during his posting. The DDC recalled him as an upright and dedicated officer who through dint of his hard work and devotion to services won the hearts of every officers/ officials.
Earlier, the meeting expressed heartfelt grief at the sad demise of the Er Sajad Bashir Somberia and said that the sudden death of a very capable, dedicated and a shining officer has come as a shock to District Administration and is a big loss to the District Udhampur and officers’ fraternity as well. The officers shared their wonderful memories while working with the deceased officer and recalled his dedication towards his duties in different capacity.
As a mark of respect to the departed soul, the officers and staff members observed two minutes silence and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy and assured all possible support to the bereaved family members in withstanding this irreparable loss.
