SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH HOLDS POLICE-PUBLIC MEET AT BORDER VILLAGE CHILYARI



Samba, June 17 : To listen to the grievances of border residents Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh held police-public meeting at border village Chilyari which was attended by a large number of people including Panches, Sarpanches, Lambardars, retried officers, Ex-servicemen, noted social activists and other prominent persons of Chilyari border village situated in Samba sector. SSP Samba was accompanied by SHO Police Station Ghagwal Bharat Bhushan and Incharge Police Post Rajpura Anjum Hussain Shah. 

Those who spoke on the occasion on behalf of the public were Sarpanch Veena Rani, Panch Harbans Singh, retired officer Yash Paul, Ex-serviceman Shiv Dutt, Ex-serviceman Balkar Singh and prominent person Sikander Lal.


 Speaking on the occasion, SSP Samba Benam Tosh said that the main objective of organizing police-public meet was to redress the grievances of the people of border villages at their doorsteps and to create awareness against drug abuse and against anti-social/criminal elements. SSP expressed gratitude on hearing from the public that there is no police related issue pending in the area and police is sensitive and responsive in mitigating their problems. Moreover, there is no drug abuse in the area and no complaint against police in the area. Benam Tosh announced that Samba police shall organize series of sports and entertainment events in border areas in days to come & that drug peddlers shall not be allowed to run their business at the cost of youth health and life. He appealed to the border villagers to share information about suspicious movements in the border areas whenever observed.
