Southwest monsoon has knocked in Jammu and Kashmir in the form of showers in the evening. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon has reached ahead of time in many parts of North India. Last year, the monsoon reached Jammu and Kashmir on June 30, whereas in 2021, it reached 17 days earlier in the middle of June. It rained on Saturday in many parts of Kashmir including Poonch, Srinagar in the state. The Meteorological Center Srinagar has issued a warning of rain with wind speed of 30 to 40 km per hour in some parts of the state for the next three days. The effect of change in weather will be more visible on Jammu division.
