Jammu and Kashmir: BJP has imposed emergency in Jammu and Kashmir – Waqar Rasool Wani, elections are not being held

BJP has declared emergency in Jammu and Kashmir by not holding assembly elections after 2019.  State Congress President Waqar Rasool Wani has made this allegation.  In Khonmoh, on the outskirts of Srinagar, Wani said that this year in November nine years would be completed without elections. He said that if other states have the right to vote in elections after every five years, it should be done here too.  Definitely elections should be held in Jammu and Kashmir.  The Congress is preparing for civic polls in other parts of the country including Jammu and Kashmir. Wani said the Congress is not a part of the PAGD.  We have shared the stage only with Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti.  Now, we stand together on common issues.  However, the manifesto of Congress is completely different from that of NC and PDP, hence cooperation cannot happen.  He said that our manifesto has been prepared at the national level.
