Democratic Progressive Azad Party Chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad has urged the Jammu and Kashmir government to provide adequate compensation to the people affected by the earthquake in Doda district. He said that there has been a lot of damage to people's property and the government should give compensation to the affected people. He said that people whose houses have been damaged should be given alternative residential facilities to stay. Azad asked the party workers to reach out to the people and cooperate with them. Congress in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir Rajni Patil has heaved a sigh of relief as there was no loss of life in the earthquake in Doda district. She said that more than fifty houses have been damaged in the earthquake. The government should give compensation to the affected families.
