Police on Friday claimed to have arrested five terrorists involved in the murder of Deepak Kumar alias Deepu in South Kashmir's Anantnag last month. All the arrested terrorists are local and are associated with the Kashmir Freedom Fighters KFF, a proxy organization of Jaish-e-Mohammed.
They have killed Deepak Kumar only at the behest of Khalid Kamran, a handler of Jaish and KFF sitting in Pakistan, in order to harm the tourism season as well as once again create an atmosphere of fear among the minorities living in the valley. While giving information about the matter today, DIG of South Kashmir Range, Raees Mohammad Butt said that on May 29, around 9.15 pm, Deepak Kumar alias Deepu was shot dead by terrorists who came on a scooty.
