There is no alternative to an elected government to address public grievances: Vivek Bali

Jammu, 02 May 2023: JD(U) State General Secretary Vivek Bali  today expressed serious concern over undevelopment in Khaur Deonian Panchayat area of R S Pura.

Addressing a public meeting in Khaur Deonian, he referred to the developmental issues being confronted by the local population in the area where the development is still a dream.

Vivek Bali said the farmers in the region have been struggling for years with inadequate infrastructure, particularly with regards to the poor condition of the roads. The situation has worsened in recent months, with heavy rainfall causing severe damage to the roads, making it difficult for farmers to transport their produce to market

Meanwhile, Vivek Bali said “The conflicting ground reality exposes the false claims of the officials that the development has reached every village. If you visit the villages, one would find poor road connectivity, lack of drinking water supply system and unscheduled power cuts.”

He said that the local population is living a miserable life with no development and improper implementation of Govt schemes for their benefit.

“The authorities have been working on the directions of a political party and adopted a line which is against the basic values of the constitution of the country. However, we will not allow this kind of discrmination with the local population which faced ignorance and backwardness for over 7 decades,” he said.

Bali said that “The elected Govt can do justice with the people. The people are fed up with the LG administration and they want a change in the governance because the elected Govt is answerable to the people who vote them to power.”

Bali said that the issues under LG administration have doubled as the officials have failed to perform on the ground and the developmental projects which were initiated by the previous Govts have yet to be completed.

He was accompanied by Chairman Sikh community Dilawar Singh, District Secretary Raj Kumar, Vivek president R s Pura Sonu Kumar, Kuldeep kumar and other senior members of the party.
