Samba, May 27: Ahead of huge expected congregation being held at the Shrine of Datta Ranpat Dev Ji Maharaj tomorrow on 28:05:2023, Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh accompanied by Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar and SHO Bari Brahmana Sunil Sharma visited Datta Talab Birpur, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana, took stock of police security arrangements and held meeting with organizing/management committee.
Besides police officers, those who were present at the meeting held by SSP Samba included Jai Data Ranpat Dev Ji Committee President Swaran Singh Charak, General Secretary Prem Sadotra, Sohan Lal Sadotra, Kulbhushan Singh Charak, Sushil Singh Charak, Chairman Nations Development Association (NDA), Jaswant Singh Charak, Dawarka Nath Sadotra Formal Secretary, Madan Sadotra and Rohit Singh Charak.
SSP issued necessary directions to the police officers on the spot and directed them to ensure that the event passes off peacefully and no untoward incident takes place. He checked the permanent guard deployed at the temple complex and briefed them to remain alert in view of the present security scenario.
SSP Samba has already issued deployment order making adequate police security arrangements and has also requested the District Magistrate to deploy duty Magistrates for proper maintenance of law and order during the congregation function. Moreover, SSP Samba has officially requested Dy. Director Fire & Emergency Services, Jammu/Divisional Officer, Fire & Emergency Services Samba to keep fire tenders in readiness to meet any eventuality.
