Wednesday started with rain in Jammu and its surrounding areas. It is cloudy in the city. At the same time, movement has come to a standstill on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway due to mud and stones falling from the hills. The traffic department said that efforts are being made to restore the highway and to rescue the stranded vehicles. Earlier, rains continued in some parts of the state on Tuesday as well. Intermittent rains in most areas of Kashmir and light snowfall in the higher reaches have increased the coolness in the last 24 hours. In many districts of the state, the day temperature has gone below normal by 11 to 14 degrees. According to the Meteorological Center Srinagar, till June 2, the weather pattern will change. In this, there may be snowfall in the mountainous areas along with rain in the plains. The weather will be more affected on 31st and 1st June.
Deputy Director of Meteorological Center Srinagar, Mukhtyar Ahmed said that till June 2, there may be incidents of rain, hailstorm, lightning in some parts in case of bad weather. During this, light to moderate rain with strong winds will occur in some areas.
