Samba, March, 16 : Police has arrested a notorious thief involved in several thefts in Samba & Jammu districts and recovered stolen items.The arrested notorious thief has been identified as Neeraj Kumar alias Ashwani s/o Dharam Chand r/o Kotli Charka tehsil Bishnah district Jammu A/P Budhwani Samba.
The accused had been committing thefts in the jurisdictions of police station Samba, Vijaypur and Bishnah. Investigation is going on and arrests of more thieves & recovery of stolen items are expected.
The arrest was made by a team of officials headed by SHO Police Station Samba, Inspr Rajeshwar Singh & PSI Sohail Munir under the supervision of DySP Operations Samba Garu Ram and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
Intensive drive against thieves launched in Samba district under the guidance of SSP Samba Benam Tosh has been successful and record fifty one (51) thieves have been arrested in two months.
