Today at about 1645 hrs a police party while performing their duty at naka point railway station Bari Brahmna grp Jammu found one person roaming suspiciously carrying one white colour bag and trying to hide himself from police party. On this police party headed by incharge Hc kamaljeet no 124/grp ,spo Veer singh no.284 ,spo Sunil kumar no 314/spo stopped the said person and asked about his identity . During inquiry the person disclosed his name as Maheshwar Baik s/o Nidhi Barik r/o Odisha at present Bari Brahmna the person has been asked about the bag in possession,while checking the bag of the person it has been found that 51 desi whisky quarters quantity 9.180 liters has been found in his possession.The person has been asked about the possession of the liquor, but he could not justify about it and on this the said person has been arrested for possession and transportation of liquor in illegal way and under relevant section of excise act case has been registered against him in grp jammu and investigation started.
