Watch Video: SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH PRESIDES OVER GRAND POLICE-YOUTH MEETING ON NARCOTICS & DRUGS ABUSE AT SAMBA




Samba: Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh today presided over grand Police-Youth  meeting on Narcotics & Drug abuse at Samba where nearly five hundred youth belonging to different areas of the district participated. Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, SDPO Vijaypur Priyanka Kumari, SDPO Bari-Brahmana Rahul Nagar, Dy.SP DAR Ajay Anand, all SHOs and all Chowki Officers were also present. 


  The main objective of the grand police-youth meeting was to chalk out strategy to completely wipe out the malaise of narcotics and drugs abuse from samba district by simultaneously launching vigorous drive against the suppliers across the district with the help of youth, sensitizing the youth about the devastating  affects of narcotic substances & drugs abuse and  motivating the addicts to get required therapy at drugs de-addiction centres.  


On the occasion, SSP Samba Benam Tosh said that youth support to police is imperative to eradicate the menace of narcotics & drugs abuse from society and therefore police has adopted approach to hold meetings with the youth of samba district at different places in different forms. Moreover, police is going to organize several sports events under the jurisdictions of different police station to come closer to youth and channelize their energy in right direction.  SSP further said that even as police is taking tough action against suppliers of narcotics substances in the district and arresting top interstate smugglers who were hitherto evading arrests, police would continue organizing series of police-youth meetings with a view to engage them against smugglers and suppliers of narcotics and  to provide required counseling regarding drugs de-addiction to  those who have fallen prey to   drug addiction. “Yet more strong action would be taken against top narcotics smugglers in near future and well-devised strategy has been chalked out to counter the threats of  Narco-terrorism in the district”, SSP Samba added.
