MV International School organized a heritage walk at Dogra Art Museum for the students of class 8th. A group of 129 students accompanied by their Coordinator Mr. Vikas Lochan along with teachers Mrs. Hardeep Mathaon ,Ms.Kamini Sharma,Mrs. Pallavi Sambyal and Mr. Sandeep Kumar Dogra.
The students walked in Darbar Hall which was used by Maharaja Hari Singh for his official meetings. They also moved around and saw Rani Chaadki Devi Mahal, Dwa Khana and Golkar Source of wayer Storage that was made in 18th century. The other collections of this museum are Terracotta heads from Akhnoor. Sculptures, Numismatics, Manuscripts, Dogra Costumes, Jewellery, Arms and Armoury, Metal Objects and Decorative Art. The students showed keen interest in knowing about the museum.
The glory of the heritage site was so inspirational that each and every student felt proud and mesmerized. It was a good learning experience for the faculty and the students who were a part of this visit.
Sh. Munish ,Executive Director and Smt. Apoorva Bharghav convservation Architect were the key note speaker of the event.
