Secretary Planning reaches border block Rajpura as part of Jan Abhiyan Programme* _Takes stock of public grievances under Block Divas initiative


SAMBA, OCTOBER 19: Secretary, Planning Development and Monitoring Department (PD&MD), Dr. Raghav Langer, today visited border block Rajpura of Samba district and took stock of public grievances under weekly Block Divas programme.

Secretary also assessed progress on saturation of beneficiary oriented schemes under deliverables as part of ongoing Jan Abhiyan programme.

He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Anuradha Gupta, District Development Council member Asha Rani, Block Development Council Chairman, Radhey Shyam besides local Sarpanchs and seniors officers.

Dr. Raghav Langer inspected departmental stalls installed by JK Bank, Health, ICDS, Social Welfare, Agriculture, School Education, NRLM and other departments and agencies. He stressed on generating maximum awareness among the locals regarding the schemes of all departments tailored for their empowerment. He also laid emphasis on saturating beneficiary oriented schemes including Golden Card Registration under Ayushman Bharat scheme, Aadhar seeding of all individual beneficiaries schemes, land passbook, PMJAY etc.

Secretary, while addressing the gathering, said that the government has taken up Jan Abhiyan (Awami Muhim) as a prelude to ‘Back to Village’ Phase IV wherein saturation of all the beneficiary schemes under deliverables will be accomplished.

He said that a Common Service Centre has been established in each Panchayat to provide hassle free online services of every department to the public in addition to raising awareness during the ongoing Jan Abhiyan.

“About 229 online services are being provided through portals and citizens can fully access these utilities through dedicated portals like UMANG, which is a major initiative of government to provide good governance”, added the Secretary.

Secretary also mentioned that Rajpura block is an aspirational block and government has laid special focus on such blocks to provide government services in a transparent and effective manner so that growth graphs of these border blocks are also increased exponentially.
