In order to put the system of processing e-challans and e-market on fast track of the Web Portal recently launched by the Chief Secretary of UT of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta IAS, the department of Geology & Mining conducted a long day training programme for the convenience of all the stakeholders connected with mineral industry which includes mining lease holders, Crusher Unit holders, Mineral Dealer License holders, NHAI executing agencies and the ultimate consumers. While speaking on the occasion DMO Samba, Mr Sayeed JKAS informed the stakeholders that launching system of e-challans and establishing e-market portal will prove to be effective in delivery mechanism of minerals and bring transparency and accountability in the entire business. In the long day Training Session which was presided over by Joint Director, Mr H L Langeh and the Nodal Officer, e-market web portal, Dr Rajinder Singh, Rana gave hand holding during the course of workshop and replied queries raised by the various stakeholders. While concluding, the Joint Director, said that all the stake holders to shift the working on the portal immediately for ensuring greater transparency in the mineral administration and stressed that the process of installing weigh bridge must be completed before 15th September, 2022
