Notorious drug peddlers caught with drugs and money by Jammu Police

Jammu: Jammu police tightening it’s noose against drug peddlers  caught two drug peddlers with drugs and money generated after selling drugs.

An alert naka of a team of P/S Miran Sahib at ring road after generating a specific input of travelling of drug peddlers cautioned a Maruti Alto car JK02CM -2895 to halt at Naka. Instead of stopping at the naka, the duo in the car tried to flee but were tactfully overpowered by the police team of Miran Sahib led by SHO PS Miran Sahib Inspr. Sultan Mirza under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan.

During questioning, accused disclosed their identity as Sanjeev Kumar @ Chotu and Jagdeep Kumar both sons of Gulzari Lal R/O Ban Sultan Miran Sahib. On search of the car a sharp edged weapon , 30 gms of heroin and cash ₹1,62300 INR was recovered from their possession.

Subsequently a case FIR No 105/2021 U/S 8/21/22/27/29 NDPS Act, 353 IPC and 4/25 Arms Act was lodged at PS Miran Sahib and investigation was set into motion to get some more clues of backward and forward channel of drug peddling.

The overall operation was conducted under the supervision of SP Hqrs Jammu Ramnish Gupta.

Further investigation of the case is going on.
